Longchamp Celebrates 25 Years of The Le Pliage Line

Ever since the release of Longchamp’s Le Pliage in 1993, it has become the symbol of Longchamp bags. The original classic was designed by Philippe Cassegrain, the son of Longchamp’s founder, and is named after the French verb meaning “to fold” because of its inspiration from Japanese Origami. One of its best-selling features is its ability to fold into an A5 size for storing, which makes it a prefect portable travel bag.

And in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the line, Longchamp has released a refurbished, college-themed look of the all-time classic. The new line is called the Le Pliage Club and the first new item to debut is the Le Pliage Club travel bag. This comes in 4 colours – navy blue, khaki, gunmetal grey and garnet, and features a contrasting embroidered Longchamp horse logo on its nylon canvas. We also love the subtle colour contrasts on the snap closure and dyed edges of the leather. The upgraded version is much more casual than the original version and is a great versatile must-have for everyday use.
