PUMA Takes A Stab At Grime Luxury With Outlaw Moscow For Their AW18 Collection

We only have the hypebeasts to thank for making it cool for sportswear to be able to pass off as street style and high fashion. Some sports brands have even partnered with luxury designers to make their name known in the industry. There is even a name for it – “grime luxury”, and it’s all about looking good without looking too avant-garde (some of those designer pieces look way too ridiculous).

Puma has had a super busy year with many collaborations – most of them in light of the Puma Suede’s 50th anniversary– and the brand’s 2018 Fall/ Winter Collection will see Outlaw Moscow join hands.

Russian label Moscow Outlaw is headed by designers Maxim Bashkaev and Dilyara Minrakhmanova, and you’ll see many traditional Russian elements throughout the entire collection. Think flower prints, embroidery, bright blocks of colour, and even some Cyrillic lettering.

The star of the collection is the Trailfox Graphic O. Moscow, an updated version of Puma’s trail runner. The chunky shoe is available in two colourways – one of which is a solid white shoe with rubberised red and black colorised panels on the sides.

The black colourway of the Trailfox Graphic O. Moscow is an all-black leather shoe with traditional Russian flower embroidery on the sides.

There are also other shoes in the collection, with sleeker options too just in case you are not a fan of chunky sneakers. The inner soles of all the shoes are co-branded with both brand’s logos.

Here are more looks from the PUMA x Outlaw Moscow collection, that also includes accessories and apparel. There’s shirts, jumpsuits, and a gorgeous kimono that keeps in line with the floral theme.

Just in case you were unaware of the FIFA World Cup madness, there is even a knitted scarf with jacquard lettering. Because Russia is the 2018 FIFA World Cup host.

The PUMA  x Outlaw Moscow SS18AW collection is available at PUMA MBS Select Store, Seek, LeftFoot and Robinsons The Heeren from 14 July onwards.
