What’s better is, to celebrate this launch and the one-year-anniversary of the relationship between Selena and PUMA, PUMA intends to donate $100,000 to the “Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research”. This fund was started by Selena Gomez to support Lupus Research. We all stan a compassionate queen!

The Cali Women’s appears in premium full leather uppers, a white colorway and contrast branding on the tongue. Great for various occasions! On the other hand, the Cali Emboss Women’s is decked with premium snakeskin leather and exudes a dreamy West Coast vibe with its pastel tone.

The Cali Women’s and Cali Emboss Women’s, $159. Available at Limited Edt. And PUMA Select MBS.

PUMA CELL ENDURA

With plenty of brands bringing back the 90s style, it looks like the trend is here to stay. With that being said, the CELL Endura is one of them. PUMA’s pinnacle model is brought back in a new form for PUMA CELL’s 20th anniversary. The updated version features new materials and new production techniques, like digital stitching, mesh uppers, suede overlays and leather overlays. Some OG elements still remain though! Namely, the running tech detailing along the rubber toe cap and a unique eyelet stay for the laces. Nothing wrong with going back to classics once in a while.

The CELL Endura, $219. Available at Leftfoot, Limited Edt. and PUMA Select MBS from 4th Oct.

ADIDAS

ADIDAS X DRAGON BALL: ZX 500RM & YUNG-1

For two big names to collaborate, it’s surely something worth taking note of. Especially when it is the collaboration between one of the world’s leading sports brands and Toei Animation, distributor of the legendary anime series, Dragon Ball Z. The collaboration will feature seven silhouettes from adidas, dropping monthly from September to December, and each shoe will represent the characteristics of the heroes and villains.

First up, we have the main characters, Goku and Frieza. The project begins with the ZX 500 RM and Yung-1 respectively. Each shoe features Dragon Ball details, like the Nimbus Cloud on the side of the ZX 500 RM. As quoted from Goku, “And this… is to go… even further beyond!” You will definitely be walking farther with a pair of adidas Dragon Ball Z shoes.

Adidas Originals by Dragon Ball Z collaboration: The ZX 500 RM, $300 and Yung-1, $230. Available for purchase at adidas Originals Pacific Plaza, adidas VivoCity, Limited Edt and online.

ADIDAS X STELLA MCCARTNEY: STELLA STAN SMITH

With sustainability being all the hype right now, environmentalists will be pleased to know that Stan Smiths now come in a ‘vegan’ option. The first ever leather-free Stan Smith is created by Stella McCartney, by removing animal ingredients or bi-products from the manufacturing process.

The sneaker does not stray away from its original design though, with the same sleek, white style. Stella incorporates her signature details – tiny stars replace the Adidas 3 stripes. How much cuter can a pair of shoes get?

The Stella #stansmith, $325. Available at Stella McCartney Paragon, Stella McCartney Hilton Hotel, Club21 Four Seasons Hotel.

SUPERGA

SUPERGA X ALEXA CHUNG FW18

Alexa Leabrush White-Black ($129.90)

Superga and Alexa Chung’s partnership started in 2011, and it was so successful that the model has now launched another collection with the brand. To create a playful collection, Alexa added twists to the iconic Superga sneakers. By swopping out eyelets for hooks and justaposing patent leather with canvas using rope laces, the sneakers in this collection look like bowling shoes. Now we can rock bowling shoes in a stylish manner.

Alexa Hook ($119.90)

There is also a mule option for people who want convenient footwear. Charming indeed!

Superga x Alexa Chung. Available online and at Superga® Wheelock Place, Vivo City, Westgate and Changi Airport Terminal 1.

CONVERSE

CONVERSE X SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: CHUCK 70

The founding member of Suicidal Tendencies, Mike Muir, tried on his first pair of Converse Chuck Taylors in the 1970s. And up till today, he still reps the classic Chuck Taylors.

Chuck 70 Low Top ($129.90)

So it came as no surprise when Converse decided to collaborate with him for a co-branded line of clothing and Chuck Taylors, especially with Suicidal Tendencies’ 35th anniversary coming up. The collection includes the Converse Chuck 70 in high top and low top forms. Fans of Suicidal Tendencies will be delighted to know that the high top features poster images throughout the band’s career. For a simpler option, the low top features Suicidal Tendencies’ iconography.

Chuck Taylor High Top ($139.90)

Converse x Suicidal Tendencies. Available at Converse Takashimaya S.C., Converse VivoCity, L.E Way at 313 Somerset and Lazada SG.

UNDERCOVER X CONVERSE: CHUCK 70

There are many things that will come to mind when Fall is mentioned. A dystopian-looking collection of shoes isn’t one of them. However, Jun Takahashi, the founding designer of Undercover is constantly looking to challenge the labels attached to the Undercover brand.

By applying elements from his Fall 2018 collection “Order/Disorder”, the Chuck 70 is reinvented into 4 distinct colorways – black, white, racing red and buttercup. The words “ORDER” and “DISORDER” are printed on the silhouette’s high-gloss toe box, with matching colours on the contrasting toe bumpers. Still contemplating? Each pair also features silver hardware, co-branded sock liners and tonal laces for a sleek expression.

Converse x Undercover, $180. Available at a first-come-first-serve basis at Club21 Forum.

NIKE

NIKE REACT ELEMENT 87 X UNDERCOVER

2018 is a busy year for Jun Takahashi. The fashion designer of Tokyo-based label Undercover has also collaborated with Nike to bring us the Nike React Element 87 in whimsical colours.

Taking inspiration from heritage running shoes, the Nike React Element 87 includes reflective and transparent details on Nike React foam. Undercover’s signature branding sits above the Nike tick. Take exercising to a whole new level and choose among 4 funky colourways! Or just get all 4.

The Nike React Element 87 x Undercover, $259. Available at Dover Street Market.

ONITSUKA TIGER

ONITSUKA TIGER X ANDREA POMPILIO: TIGER ALLY AND MONK

TIGER ALLY

Italian designer, Andrea Pompilio, has woven a sleek design using pop graphics inspired by the AW18 apparel collection under the same name. And if you’re wondering, yes, that is a New York townscape depicted by Australian illustrator James Gulliver Hancock. Tiger Ally features a heel counter and is cushioned with fuzeGEL, to improve stability.

MONK

The Monk is a very casual shoe with an external fastener for easy slip-ons and slip-offs. Simple and minimalistic, the shoe is inspired by the double monk strap dress shoe. This is just a less formal version!

Onitsuka Tiger x Andrea Pompilio: Tiger Ally, $159 and Monk, $149. Available at Onitsuka Tiger Vivo City, Onitsuka Tiger Suntec City

ASICSTIGER

ASICSTIGER HYPERGEL LYTE

It is always a tough pick between aesthetics (lifestyle sneakers) and comfort (sports footwear designed for physical activities). But why pick when you can have both? ASICSTIGER is launching the HyperGEL-LYTE collection, by combining foam and GEL technologies with the iconic GEL-LYTE style. Elements of the original GEL-LYTE model remain, while cushion is added to provide a bounce in every step. The cushion reduces impact and preserves energy, allowing for improved comfort and movement, great for walking long distances at the local mall. We love the how the beads in the midsoles bring out a burst of colours. Kinda like rainbow sprinkles, if you ask me!

HyperGEL-LYTE Shoe, $169. Available island-wide at AW LAB, Star360 Stores, and SEEK ION.
