Microblading Permanent Eyebrow Tattoo

No brows? No problem! You may or may not have heard about it before, but microblading can also be referred to as eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow tattooing, or microstroking. Ring a bell yet?

Well, this popular beauty treatment is no stranger to the beauty scene as it’s known to bring life back to your brows (and we all know how important having our brows are). The treatment essentially entails the process of making tiny precision hair strokes using a state of the art microblading tool to mimic the natural direction and length of your brows.

It’s probably one of the more mild and common procedures we have on our list, despite how scary as it may sound at first.

Honey Eye Mask

People are going to great lengths to change the colour of their eyes. A myth that has been circulating around the ‘net, states that putting a few drops of honey into your eyes will actually lighten the colour of your eyes.

Besides it being an insane risk to your own personal health (and safety), the truth is, this Honey Eye Mask is indeed a myth. Doing so, may or may not change the pigments in your eye, but the risk that comes with it may lead to other eye problems (which of course, is not worth the price of beauty).

Don’t say we didn’t warn you ’bout it!

Dermaplaning

Gliding a blade across your skin can be a little daunting for some, but if it’s all in the name of getting baby smooth skin, it’s probably worth giving it a shot.

The treatment is known as dermaplaning and it involves shaving your face with a state-of-the-art surgical scalpel. Yes, we’re talking about gently scraping off any dead skin cells, or as we like to call it, “peach fuzz” off your face to reveal a smoother and clearer complexion. The thing about dermaplaning is – anyone with any skin type can pretty much do it. And no, the hair that’ll grow out after dermaplaning won’t be any thicker or darker – in fact, it’ll grow out the same as before and you won’t experience any breakouts!

Facial Bone Therapy

The quest for the coveted V-shaped face never ends! If it isn’t already getting weird for you yet then this Facial Bone Therapy might just make things a little more uncomfortable. Dubbed as K-Therapy, the treatment originates from the long history and culture of Korea. What this non-invasive procedure essentially involves is the stimulation of the bones through the skin, promoting circulation, improving the supply of nutrients and discharge of wastes. And yes, you might experience some discomfort (and pain) throughout the process but if it’s for a slimmer face, why not right? The treatment can be done on your body or your face, with the majority of patients choosing the latter.

Well, with exotic beauty treatments like these, it all comes at a hefty price. If you’re ready to burn a hole in your wallet then this treatment is probably worth giving a shot.

Permanent Undereye Concealer

If the idea of microneedling or tattooing your face scares you, we say you should just forego this permanent undereye concealer in lieu of your standard concealer.

Having severe dark eye circles can be such a chore for some of us to conceal at times – no matter which concealer we use, it still doesn’t seem to work! But is there more that can be done to give skin a lift and help it retain that youthful radiance? The answer is: Yes. It’s a non-invasive treatment where the pigments are infused with hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E and other skin-safe ingredients to lighten your skin under your eye area.

The result? Your dark eye circles might still be there but the treatment does subtly brighten your eye area, making you look more well-rested when you’re not wearing makeup. So before you throw out all your concealers, we’d suggest you keep a few just in case you’re in need of some extra coverage.

Vampire Facial

Vampire facials have made headlines in the past for its rejuvenating skin benefits, and also because of Kim Kardashian’s selfie that she Instagrammed post-treatment. It’s definitely one that’s not for the faint-hearted; the vampire facial features a microdermabrasion process, followed by layering a mask of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which helps to boost the turnover rate of your skin cells. Basically, the PRP contains extracts of your blood that will be drawn before the treatment by the dermatologist, where it will be spun in a centrifuge to extract the PRP concentrate.

In summary, this treatment is supposed to improve skin tone and texture and smooth fine lines, which apparently does work for celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian. As for the star-studded celebrity herself, Kim Kardashian withdrew herself from the continuing on with the treatment – mainly because she did it with any numbing cream or painkillers due to her pregnancy and described the treatment as “one of the most painful things”.
