Disney lovers can rejoice once again with another fashion collaboration: accessories brand Cath Kidston is here with a collection that features Disney’s very first Princess, Snow White! This is not the first time they’ve teamed up with Disney — characters from Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and 101 Dalmatians have all been featured in Cath Kidston’s previous collections, and each has been a resounding success. Needless to say, this Snow White collection will fly off the shelves too.
The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs collection’s mostly bright and girly, with slate blue and rich charcoal hues, though the last part does reference the show’s dark undertones — of course, there’s also a pop of red that pays homage to the movie’s iconic poisoned apple. The rich design and illustration heritage of Disney and Cath Kidston makes both brands the perfect collaboration! Fun fact: Prints from the collection are original character illustrations from the classic 1937 animation!
This nostalgic collection is not just for young children aspiring to be princesses, but for fans of all ages with its exclusive prints appearing across Fashion, Bags, Home and Kids. Look out for the ‘Apples and Spots’, and ‘Scattered Blossom’ prints!
Apples and Spots
The infamous fruit featured in this collection is personally hand drawn by the skilled illustrators at Disney’s animation studio! Accompanying the fruit is the brand’s iconic Button Spot which provides the perfect backdrop, and the print is featured across bags and accessories. The poisonous apple doesn’t seem so scary anymore in this collection, and you will want to carry it around!
With apple in hand, Snow White makes her appearance in the collection. Accompanying her is a backdrop of Cath Kidston’s Signature Wellesley Blossom that perfectly illustrates Snow White’s love for the wilderness. This ethereal design enchants the entire collection — flowers, princesses and birds, could there be a more perfect collaboration?
Snow White x Cath Kidston collection will be available in Cath Kidston Tangs at Tang Plaza, L2 on 12 October.
