Singapore’s Biggest Carnival Is Coming Back – Just In Time For Christmas!

The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is probably the closest thing to a proper fun fair that we can get here, but that’s good enough for us. The carnival is the perfect date spot, a good place to chill with your friends, and is also great fun for the kids. Expect everything from delicious food, exhilarating rides and even game booths to win huge plushies.

With over 40 thrilling rides to choose from, kids of all ages and even your adrenaline-hating friend will be able to find a ride. Viking swings, roller coasters, and merry-go-rounds are just some of the rides you can expect. Thrill seekers can look out for the Booster Maxx, a spinning ride that goes almost as fast as 100km/h for eight seconds. We definitely recommend going on the rides before tucking into your food!

To avoid the lengthy queues, you might want to get the fast track passes, which  will allow you to skip the queue at selected rides. Or you can dress up according to the theme Future Forward to skip the line. The following months will have different dress up themes, and you can even win bonus credits to spend at the carnival.

Once you’re done screaming your lungs on the rides, there are plenty of game booths to test out your skills. Win over 50 different plushies like unicorns and even Marvel characters to bring home as a souvenir. Blast cans and shoot hoops to impress your date and make this a night to remember.

Mini Hoop The Block

Darts, mini hoops and shooting games will be easy targets for sharp shooters, while the ones with a stable hand would probably fare well at the Wiggle Wires, where you have to move a circle down a wire without touching it. The circle and wire is both made out of metal, which will buzz if you make contact.

Of course they haven’t forgotten about those who have no hand to eye coordination, but still need to impress their dates. There’s the classic Odd Numbers and Ring Toss games where you might bag a win from pure luck. If you’re just not a lucky person, well, we can’t do anything more for you.

Ring Toss

Running around all the games and rides will have you feeling the hunger pangs. Head over to the food village for Churros,  Indo-Mie Sambal Gila, Meatballs and more! Every month, there will also be various crazy food challenges, and different live performances to liven up your night with some chill tunes.

The carnival will open its doors officially on 22 December till 24 March 2019. If you’re not so keen on the massive crowds on opening week, there’s still plenty of time till next March to visit. This time round, the carnival will be open from 4pm to 11pm daily, with extended hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve till 2am.
