The Best Places And Parties To Ring In 2019

As 2018 draws to a close and you’re wondering how to spend the last few moments, we’re here to guide you to the right place. And if you come to realisation that you haven’t been heading out enough this, it’s time to get out of the house and welcome the New Year from somewhere other than your bed. Treat yourself to a delightful meal,  party it up at a themed rave, or just grab a buddy to admire the massive fireworks display over at Marina Bay that won’t disappoint.

It’s a no-brainer that the Marina Bay area is the best place to be for fireworks. The annual Marina Bay Singapore Countdown this year spices things up with a touch of theatrical extravaganza with the iconic skyline. You’ll be in for a ride with Star Island, which brings a performance packed full of action, laser displays, and pyrotechnics. Even your wristbands are going to come with LED lights synchronised to the show. Expect acts like traditional Japanese drumming and fire performances. There’s also a Food Truck Fest to keep your tummy full, as well as a play area to keep the young ones entertained. Best enjoyed with the whole family!

The Float @ Marina Bay. Tickets from $38 to $148, available online.

If a lil’ ratchet debauchery is the last thing on your 2018 bucket list, there is no better place to strike off the last thing on your list than at one of the top clubs in the world – Zouk. Go all out and party out all your regrets from the past year, because new year, new you, right? And to make things a little sweeter, there’ll be giveaways happening throughout the nights too but we don’t have any details of the prizes yet. With Hong, Zushan and Jeremy Boon heading up the Zouk mainroom with crowd-pleasers all night long, LeNERD, Nash D and Ghoetto will be keeping the the bass lovers and hip-hop/ trap loveres happy over at Capital.

Club entry at $60 (ladies and men) at the door.

Want to party it up AND still be able to catch the fireworks? Head up to Bar Rouge in your finest silver threads to join the rest of the sparkling crowd to party your way into the new year in style, to the beats of Kenneth F, Styluxtakut, Rattle, and Fadille. Towering 71 floors above the city, just step to the outside bar when midnight is drawing near for a prime spot to view the above mentioned amazing pyrotechnics that will light up the Marina Bay area once it strikes 12. The stunning metallic wonderland will have plenty of shiny and reflective installations (to remind you to reflect on yourself? the past year?) including a dazzling silver arch made out of prismatic balloons, where you can inscribe your hopes and dreams for 2019. And you’d want to dress your best because the most glamorous one wins a three course dinner with champagne at Skai Restaurant.
