LEGO is finally launching exclusive sets to celebrate Chinese New Year! These sets feature iconic traditions commonly seen during the occasion, a perfect depiction of this festive celebration.
80101 Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner
What is a Chinese New Year celebration without a reunion dinner? This set captures the essence of a reunion dinner well. It features a dining room, a front garden as well as a front door with the ‘Fu’ symbol. There are six brand new minifigures (grandma, grandpa, mum, dad, daughter and son) and together, they’ll be able to have a lovely reunion dinner at the rotating dining table topped with traditional dishes.
80102 Dragon Dance
The dragon dance is widely performed during Chinese New Year and is symbolic to the Chinese culture. Since it’s the Year of the Pig, this LEGO set has a special minifigure dressed as a pig as well as a team of four dragon dancers. With these characters as well as a buildable dragon, you can create your own dragon dance routine! All you have to do is to turn the handle and let your creative juices flow.
