It’s a well-known fact that Singaporeans love Hello Kitty, to the point that we’d spend hours and hours queueing up just to get our hands on the latest Hello Kitty merchandise. Here’s some good news for all you Hello Kitty fans — Casio will be collaborating with Sanrio to launch a special collaboration model.
This model draws inspiration from the Hello Kitty Pink Quilt Series, which trended among young women in Japan in the ’90s, around when BABY-G made its debut. The face of the watch features a quilt-stitch pattern, taking after the the Hello Kitty Pink Quilt Series that was popular back then. The flower-shaped metal pieces on the watch add detail and a beautiful touch to its overall design.
Turn the watch over and you’ll find that the case back is engraved with a drawing of the lovable character wearing a watch and adorned with a flower that has the letter ‘B’ on it, representing BABY-G.
The watches have pretty impressive features too! Each of them has shock resistance, water resistance of up to 100 metres, 29 time zones and an LED light with a beautiful afterglow.
The packaging for this special model includes an exclusive mini bag designed in the style of the original Pink Quilt Series from the ’90s, and a stand for displaying the watch. The watch looks pretty, functions well, and comes with cute packaging, so hesitate no more!
