If there’s one beauty brand with a revolving door of timeless makeup essentials, it’s Chanel.
Their new collection, LES BEIGES, is all about that nude skin effect — and it’s just hit all Chanel beauty counters. To curb any anti-au natural biases you may have, the LES BEIGES line promises to enhance women’s natural beauty by creating products that are worn like a subtle and undetectable second skin.
In the lineup: an eyeshadow palette that features a gorgeous mix of bronzes to mimic a healthy glow from the fairest to the darkest skin tones; a richly-coloured lip balm; a lightweight foundation with a nude-skin finish, and a sheer powder that adds an obvious and essential healthy glow to your complexion.
All hype aside, don’t be surprised when one (or more likely, all four) of these makeup staples wind up in your beauty bag.
LES BEIGES Water-Fresh Tint
Less is more with this foundation because it presents a nude-skin finish meant to become one with the complexion — swipe on for an effortless veil of radiance. Ultra-fine texture, creamy, and beyond easy to blend, this long-wearing formula is said to offer coverage that looks and feels like second skin. Yes, please. However, with only six shades to boot (and the darkest shade bordering on “disappointing” territory), those with deep, and dark skin tones are not truly represented in this collection. We’ll be keeping watch.

LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Powder
A compact power that gives you the benefits of a healthy glow and a lightweight formula that’s gentle on the skin? Check and check. Thanks to white rose plant cells and cotton flower, pigment glides across skin with ease and leaves you with buildable coverage. We even heard that the signature embossed on the powder is the exact replica of that of Gabrielle Chanel!

LES BEIGES Natural Eyeshadow Palette and Lip Balm
In varying shades of wearable neutrals supposedly compatible with all skin tones, this eyeshadow palette promises to heighten the natural beauty of nude skin. The shades are airy beige, light-reflecting rosy beige, raw cocoa, bare skin, moonlight, matte khaki, hot chocolate, mineral bronze and sienna. Its long-wearing formula even boasts a silky-melt-away texture when applied.
Completing the collection is the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Blam. What looks like a vibrant colour in the tube actually translates to a tinted, sheer shade, all with a finish that’s not just luminous, but straight-up hydrating, thanks to a buttery blend of vitamin E and Moringa butter.
