We embarked on the Etihad 787 and were pleasantly presented with a canapé and an exclusive Acqua di Parma amenity kit — reprising of scented hand and body lotions to fight the cabin dryness — and ample storage for our belongings that we appreciatively lapped up amidst our bulky carryons.

This was no mere flight of fancy; then again, it’s easy to see why — impeccable service, gourmet dining and luxurious sleeping quarters make Etihad Airways a contender for the dreamiest flying package.
FIRST CLASS SUITE
Indulge in the luxe life with the First Class Suite that is outfitted in the finest leather — we’re talking seats that convert to a 6-foot 8-inch fully flat bed for your convenience. Other notable features? A personal wardrobe cabinet, 24-inch flat-screen TV and a turn-down service complete with sleepwear and a nighttime beverage.
The cabins were equipped with a dining table for two and a surprisingly roomy space — there’s nothing worse than a cramped up legroom, especially for the restless travellers among us — and you can invite your travelling companion to join you for a meal.
The best part? Sliding privacy doors. We’re calling it, it’s an introvert’s dream come true. Nothing beats some much-needed solitude; made better with their in-flight entertainment and other long-haul beauty must-haves from their amenity kit.
GOURMET DINING
Apart from the trusty bread basket favourites, the menu will showcase international cuisines. Their inflight chefs pride on churning out their fresh offerings — be it the seafood, steak or pasta from their pantry.
