Beauty pop-ups have been all the rage these days, but few pull it off as impeccably as Chanel. They’ve done an 80s arcade, a red factory, and more — and this time, the French beauty brand wants to immerse you into an entire themed space based off an 80s disco party! We don’t want to spoil your experience that much, but trust us when we say it’s a space you absolutely can’t miss!
But if you’re the kind who has to read the entire Wikipedia entry before watching the actual movie, no shame, read on. To everyone else, consider this a spoiler alert.
Here’s what you can expect. You’ll first be greeted by a Chanel vinyl storefront at the entrance, with pink and orange hues inspired by the new Rouge Coco Flash range. For those curious, yes, the attention to detail’s such that each sleeve contains an actual vinyl with the double C logo, one that you can play on a record player, which you’ll find placed about the room too. Coco Records tunes will also be playing over the speakers so give them a listen too before you make your way over to the club.
As you can see, this area of the club is #lit with psychedelic projections, disco balls, as well as mesmerising neon lights and warped mirrors. It’s high time you whip out your cameras, if you haven’t already! The circular room sees a spectacular drum set in the middle, and is surrounded by vintage counters and more cosy rooms and booths.
Key areas include a trippy dance floor, where you insert a token into a Chanel jukebox to get the music going, as well as a scent bar where you can indulge in a whiff or two of the brand’s classic fragrances. There are also makeup booths dedicated to Chanel muses Lily-Rose Depp and Keira Knightley, and it’s there that you’ll be able to doll up, or at least test some of the makeup and skincare items that are making an exclusive debut at the venue.
Do head on down, and remember to reserve your timeslot first!
