With Pokémon Detective Pikachu currently showing in cinemas and the successful opening of the Pokémon Centre at Jewel Changi Airport recently, Pokémon is being raved about more than it already was before. Adding on to that list, Pokémon fans will be psyched to know they have one more thing to look out for:
UNIQLO is back with another UT GRAND PRIX Design Contest and this year’s theme is none other than our favourite childhood companions, Pokémon!
Going from our TV screens and playing cards to our t-shirts, these feisty monsters are going to bask in UNIQLO’s brightly-lit stores from 24 June 2019.
With entries from more than 40 countries and regions, it sure was not easy for the panel of judges to select these 22 designs, from a pool of more than 18,000 entries.
This time around, Pikachu did not hog the limelight as its fellow comrades took center stage for some designs. We have Ditto and Jigglypuff looking absolutely adorable in pastel hues, Alolan Marowak and Gengar adding a fierce touch to the collection and Unown and Alolan Exeggutor giving the collection a unique twist. Even the infamous antagonists Team Rocket have a t-shirt of their own!
