In 1994, François Nars launched his eponymous brand at Barneys New York, and with it, 12 lipstick shades that have now become cult products in themselves. This year, NARS celebrates 25 years of their iconic lipstick, relaunching these 12 original shades in a special red matte soft touch casing, as well as an entire lineup of 60 new ones. This will be the brand’s most extensive range of lip colours to date — 72 in total — and these lipsticks will span across matte, satin and sheer finishes, and will have a beautiful lightweight texture that feels incredibly smooth and comes out even on the lips. The two ingredients in the new formula include Passion Fruit Seed Oil that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and plumps skin; and Moringa Seed Oil that is healing, moisturising, and in the NARS lipstick, helps preserve and enhance colour vibrancy.

Complementing these best-selling lipsticks, is NARS’ popular line of  Lip Glosses, all of which make lips look brilliant and stunning. In this tutorial, we used two of these newly-launched shades — Outrage and Sexual Content — for one of the lip looks. 

And to prep lips, we turned to the Afterglow Lip Balm that comes in six universal shades and delivers just the right amount of colour to lips. The finish is hydrated and plumped lips, ready for the next step of lip colour.
