Homegrown brands Tocco Toscano and Arissa X are collaborating on The Essentials Collection, featuring a range of bags that truly are essential in every working woman’s closet. And not only that, they’re setting up a pop-up store at OUE Downtown Gallery from now until the 25th of August so you can see the collection for yourself.
For the millennial working woman who’s eager to climb high up the career ladder while still maintaining a good work-life balance (it’s not impossible, we think), finding a good work bag is tricky. The perfect bag that transitions seamlessly from the office to dinner and drinks with friends is an elusive find, but The Essentials Collection shows that it’s out there.
Their solution to this issue is a pretty nifty trick called the Bag-in-Bag (BiB) concept. It’s pretty self-explanatory but you simply bring two bags to work, one inside another, and only bring the smaller one out for any after-work plans. The bags in the collection are designed to make fitting and matching as easy as possible. Each bag is made to fit the preceding bigger bag perfectly so that they can be used a variety of combinations to best suit your needs.
The pop-up stores will host items from Tocco Toscano, Arissa X and Faire Leather Co for purchase, as well as The Essentials Collection which comprises of 4 key products. They are The Essential Top Handle which is the perfect tote for work, The Essential Tent Clutch which is a large grab bag that doubles as a clutch and organiser. There is also The Essential Mini Satchel which is a mini shoulder bag with detachable straps and finally, the Essential Fold-out, a bifold wallet. Made from cowhide leather and accented with understated metal detailing, the bags display high-quality craftsmanship.
The pre-order sales on duo bundles with exclusive prices are unfortunately over, as well as the Instagram giveaway that Arissa Cheo, the founder of Arissa X, had on her account. But, you can still get your hands on the collection at their full retail price on the Arissa X website and at the pop-up store.

The pop-up store is located at OUE Downtown Gallery, #01-36/37/38 (next to 6Oz Espresso) until 25 August 2019. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 8 PM. Saturdays by appointment only.
