Want in on the sale? Read here on the steps to take (signing up as a member and filling your online shopping cart!) and the 10 items you won’t regret buying.

Sale time is also the best time to try something new now that it’s cheaper, including items you keep reading about and you’ve always been wanting to try but never gotten around to buying it. Such as trendy items (like the jade face roller), trendy skincare brands (like Tatcha and Drunk Elephant), and products that are constantly raved about (Fresh masks and Pat McGrath lipsticks).

Check out these 10 recommendations from the NYLON team:

1. Benefit The Great Brow Basics Kit, $53.60 (O.P. $67)

In the beauty circuit, Benefit is one of the “authorities” on brows; industry insiders know they do great brows (there’s even a book dedicated to Benefit brows — we have it in office). If you’ve not tried any of their many, many brow products, check out this kit of basics; it includes a full size Gimme Brow+ brow-volumising fiber gel, a full-size Goof Proof Brow Pencil, and a mini Precisely, My Brow Pencil ultra-fine brow defining pencil. Basically everything you need for easy, quick and great brows. Also, who doesn’t want that adorable tin it comes in?!

2. DR.JART+ Cicapair Calming Gel Cream, $45.60 (O.P. $57)

This Korean brand is famous for its Cicapair line of skincare; the key ingredient is Tiger grass complex (Centella Asiatica), which is said to be the stuff tigers roll around in to soothe and heal themselves when wounded. This newly launched moisturiser has a cooling gel texture that feels light and not sticky on the skin. If you have sensitive skin, this is worth a try.

3. Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream, $68.80 (O.P. $86)

This skincare brand has been trending since it launched in Singapore and is showing no signs of slowing down. Their latest moisturiser is a new and improved version of their original Lala cream, and maintains the soft and comforting whipped texture the first one was so famous for.

4. Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask, $64 (O.P. $80)

There are two products in this best-selling mask — a gel side that intensely hydrates skin, and a cream that locks in the moisture.

5. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, $28.80 (O.P. $36)

This must-have is a potent concentrate of calamine, salicylic acid and other fast-acting ingredients (like Camphor, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, and Glycerin) that dries out a zit overnight with just one drop. Always keep a bottle on hand for those unexpected spots.

6. Mount Lai De-Puffing Jade Facial Roller, $40 (O.P. $50)

As its name suggests, this roller helps bring down puffiness on the skin. It has a cooling and soothing effect and daily use helps with blood circulation and improving lymphatic drainage. Also, it looks great in your Instagram shots. 🙄

7. NARS Exposed Cheek Palette, $72 (O.P. $90)

Here are six universally flattering shades for the face. Use the brighter hues for cheek colour, the highlighter for cheekbones, and the darker terracotta shade for subtle contouring. Pretty and fun!

8. Pat McGrath LUST: Mini MatteTrance Lipstick Trio, $29.60 (O.P. $37)

Pat McGrath has some of the most desirable makeup — and lipsticks — in the market; and we love anything that’s mini. If you haven’t tried this trendy brand, this set of three mini lipsticks in popular shades is a good place to start.

9. Supergoop! ZincScreen 100% Mineral Lotion, $49.60 (O.P. $62)

These guys know sunscreen and are really good at it; their entire product line revolves around sunscreen, with this new product being a lightweight lotion with good coverage at SPF40.

10. Tatcha The Satin Skin Mist, $55.20 (O.P. $69)

We haven’t tried anything from skincare brand Tatcha that we didn’t love — including this new mist that acts as an oil-free liquid powder great for refreshing skin and makeup during the day. It has Japanese Wild Rose, which tightens pores, and Okinawa clay, which leaves makeup perfect and intact. Add this to your work desk or throw it in your bag to bring along wherever you go; just be prepared to pass it around your friends when they spot it.
