Universal Studios Singapore Introduces A Family-Friendly, Daytime Halloween Event This Year

Universal Studio Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights is undoubtedly the best part about Halloween here in Singapore. They really go all out with the scares, so it’s unsurprising that it’s not recommended for children below 12. However, unlike in the past, there is finally a USS Halloween event this year that’s great for all ages! (Especially those of us who have been FOMO-ing in a corner come Halloween period because we’re too scared to go for Halloween Horror Nights.)

Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa brings together fan favourite characters from Minion Monsters and Sesame Street for its first-ever daytime family-friendly Halloween event. Not to mention, it has opened just in time for the September school holidays; it’s the perfect time to bring out the kids for a much-needed break. And there’s plenty of time to head on down there as it ends on 31st October 2019.

There’s a Minion Monsters Tricky Treats with Mummy Stuart, the mummified version of Stuart the Minion, and FrankenBob, the Frankenstein-ed version of Bob the Minion from the Despicable Me franchise. They’ll be walking around, handing out candies and other treats so don’t forget to catch them. There’s also the Halloween Carnival, with a ghoulish-twist on all the classic carnival games. We recommend staying till night as there’s a special haunted version once the sun sets.

Lastly, there is a Sesame Street: Halloween Meet & Greet and Show, which is definitely one of the biggest highlights of the event. This is a must-do activity, especially as many parents are likely to be fans of the show as well. Taking place at the Pantages Theatre, the show will tell the story of beloved Sesame Street characters going out for trick or treating in New York. Count von Count, the resident vampire known for teaching kids to count, leads in a musical show about counting as many candies as possible.
