With a great deal of lipsticks already flooding the market like it is, is there really room for more? Hasn’t the beauty industry created every possible nourishing formula and shade there is? YSL Beauté doesn’t seem to believe so.
Their latest baby? Their 6-piece lipstick collaboration with Zoë Kravitz which is an extension of the Rouge Pur Couture range, with each shade named after someone she loves. We have the strong, dark red named Lale after her mother to a bright, red-orange named after her dog Scout.
Available in satin, matte, and shimmer variations, the three reds and three nudes promise long wear, a pigment-packed hue, and a nourishing formulation that dresses your lips in hydration and all-day comfort. We like what we hear so far.
It doesn’t get more striking than YSL Beauté dressing up its lipstick in glossy black lacquer, topped with silvery glitter. The design was actually inspired by one of Zoë’s favourite Saint Laurent handbags; the Niki Bag.
Below, the whole range to lust over.
“Rouge Pur Couture is one of my favourite products. The texture is so beautiful. It doesn’t get too dry; it’s not too shiny. It’s kind of perfect,” Kravitz says. The universal appeal of the hues and it’s weightless, barely-there texture has us prepping our pout in anticipation when they hit stores. October 15 can’t come soon enough.
