Immersing us into the virtual reality of their worlds and characters, the much-anticipated theme park will also be home to many shopping and food outlets — all based around Nintendo’s most famous characters and games.

According to Universal Studio Japan, we can even expect Mario and Yoshi themed attractions: Super Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Adventure rides. We even heard rumours of a designated Donkey Kong area!

In the video above, the CEO of Universal Studios Japan, J.L. Bonnier, said that he hopes that when guests enter Super Nintendo World, it will make them feel as if they are playing inside a  real Nintendo videogame. While the park in Osaka, Japan is still undergoing construction, we managed to decipher just a few elements from the official images, such as Mario’s mystery box, Peach’s castle and piranha plants!
