The popular building block innovator is here to help you usher in the Chinese New Year with the launch of two brand new 2020 CNY sets which have each been specially designed to commemorate the upcoming celebrations for the start of the new lunar year.
The LEGO Lion Dance set ($119.90) beautifully recreates the well-loved celebration in brick form and is sure to evoke fond memories in people of all ages. The set features five immaculately designed lion figurines and also includes a percussionists’ stage that has a real-life drumming function! The miniature temple gate rounds up the features of the set adorned with traditional patterns.
The LEGO Chinese New Year Temple Fair set ($179.90) comes with all the pieces and accessories your family (or avid builders) will need to role-play a miniaturised version of this beloved event. The set includes stalls that are built using a vast, colourful array of LEGO bricks alongside LEGO versions of stall items, 14 minifigures, and a special LEGO minifigure family.
In addition to the release of these sets, LEGO will also be bringing the famous bricks to life with their first-ever large-scale LEGO Chinese New Year Event at Jem!
From now to 9 February 2020, you are invited to join in the celebration and enjoy fun activities, snap photos with multiple life-sized structures based on the CNY festival sets, as well as view a gorgeous LEGO diorama put together by LEGO adult fans and their families!
