The 7 Best Beauty Looks We’re Loving From This Year’s Grammy Awards

The long-awaited Grammy Awards are back this month and if there’s one thing that this occasion calls for besides celebrating the music’s biggest night, it’d definitely have to be all the iconic red carpet looks that we’re dreaming of by some of our favourite artists (cue, Billy Porter sequined blue eye shadow number).

From Alicia Keys’ baby hair look studded with rhinestones to Billie Eilish’ Gucci iconic logomania motif, these are the beauty looks we’re couldn’t stop crushing on.

While her Giambattista Valli Tulle Gown at the 2020 Grammys was a showstopper, Ariana’s beauty look was just as sensational. Showing up in her signature sky-high pony, the singer detailed her look with a bold feline flick on her peepers while keeping it subtle with a nude, glossy lip.

Past trends like logomania have pushed itself to at the forefront of fashion and beauty here on the red carpet this year, especially with Billie Eilish’s unique green-inflicted Gucci ensemble. At the awards, the “bad guy” singer-songwriter stole the limelight with her rather elaborate getup that included a monochromatic green outfit by Gucci that came with fingerless gloves. Aside from the fact that it complimented her bright slime-green roots, the star took it up a notch by pairing it with custom-made green talons that were adorned with the Gucci logo.

A classic, Lizzo has shown us all that Hollywood glam never goes out of style. We’re seeing soft, luscious waves, smouldering smokey eyes, and a nude lip that spells a timeless glamour look of your silver screen starlet. To top off the outstanding ensemble, Lizzo also had her nails done — with long, shart-tipped claws, adorned with No.8s — that redefined your usual statement trophy-clinching nails for the ceremony.

If you haven’t got the memo, Classic Blue is in — and who could’ve done it better than Billy Porter himself. With a look that has set both the fashion and beauty industries ablaze, Billy definitely knows how to serve one of the most iconic looks of the evening. Paired with his silver manicure, the star goes full-on glam with his dramatic blue eyeshadow, outlined in glittery silver — alongside a silver, metallic lip that complimented his silver-fringed electric blue custom outfit. Who doesn’t love something a little extra?

Amongst the many makeup and hair inspirations we’d want to copy from this year’s Grammys comes Dua Lipa’s outstanding ’90s-esque getup. A look that’s not to be missed, Dua pulls out all the stops with her shimmery cobalt blue eyeshadow look that also highlighter her crease down to the lower lashline which offsets her look — complete with a nude lip to pair. She also pulled her hair up in a spiky top knot, complimented by two chunky hairpieces on her sides to frame her face.

One word: art. While hosting the 62nd Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the “Underdog” singer wowed the crowd with a no-makeup makeup look accompanied with her pared-back hair that stole the show with a subtle, yet unique touch that you may or may not have noticed. Yes, we’re talking about her baby hair — bedazzled with rhinestones throughout her tresses. Though minimal, we actually love how she still manages to pull off the look!

Taking centre stage with Lil Nas X this Grammy Awards is none other than one of the biggest well-loved K-Pop superstars known to date, BTS. Besides their stunning performance of ‘Seoul Town Road‘, a nod to RM and Lil Nas X’s collaboration last year, the group collectively managed to pull of bowl cuts of sorts on the red carpet. A side-styled part, full bangs, a wavy side part, and the list goes on…
