Having been around for a while, Instax cameras have always been the go-to gadget we own (or hope to own) that gets our photos printed in an instant. First launched in 1998, the ‘Instax’ series of instant cameras continues to grow in style, offering a wide variety of models that cater to the diverse group of users globally. From 5 March 2020, Fujifilm is set to launch the all-new Instax Mini 11 ($149), which will join the already available line-up as a mini format entry-level camera.
Compared to the previous models, the Mini 11 has been redesigned to provide a more trendy outlook whilst accommodating easy portability. In addition to it being thinner and lighter than its predecessors, the Instax Mini 11 sports a rounded body design which fits perfectly in your hands for added operability.
The new Mini 11 will also be the first entry-level model to feature the ‘Automatic Exposure’ function which automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed to optimise the shutter speed and flash output according to the surrounding condition. This will give you the ability to produce high-quality photo prints that have optimal exposure to the main subject and the background in a variety of situations that range from a bright, sunny day in the outdoors to a dark, indoor location like a restaurant or party venue.
If you’re someone who enjoys taking selfies or wefies, the Mini 11 comes with a Selfie Mode as well, which is ideal for this very task as you can easily switch to the Selfie Mode by pulling the rim of the lens outward. To ensure your close-ups come out satisfactory, the Mini 11 has included a small mirror built right next to the lens, for you to adjust your framing before you take the photo. The Selfie Mode also works perfectly for clear close-ups of subjects (through the viewfinder) that are 30cm to 50cm away, making the Mini 11 an all-round steal for the dedicated shutterbug.
The Instax Mini 11 will be available in five pale tone colours — Blush Pink, Charcoal Grey, Ice White, Lilac Purple, and Sky Blue.
Each camera kit will come with two replaceable accessories for the shutter button — a jewel shutter button and a glow-in-the-dark shutter button — which changes the Instax Mini 11’s look based on your preferences.
The Instax Mini 11 will be available at $149 in Blush Pink, Charcoal Grey, Ice White, Lilac Purple, and Sky Blue, from 5 March 2020 at all Fujifilm retailers. For more information, click here.
