The Most Buzzworthy Beauty Looks Right Off The Red Carpet From This Year’s Oscars

Nominated or not, celebrities attending the Oscars know for a reason that getting dolled up for one of the biggest and most dramatic nights of the year can be nerve-wracking for them, and their beauty team. But hey, you wouldn’t be able to tell. This year, the stars have gone all out with some of the most mesmerising looks to date, whether it’s sporting some of their most signature looks, or embracing new and bold beauty trends we’re dying to cop for the season ahead. From Billie Eilish’s showstopping outfit to Billy Porter’s gilded, fairytale-like ensemble, we’ve rounded up some of the most remarkable looks off the red carpet from the 92nd Academy Awards.

We expected nothing less from the ‘bad guy’ singer herself, but we have to admit, Billie Eilish’s ensemble was one that definitely turned heads on the red carpet. Arriving in a white Chanel getup, the singer topped off her look with her ridiculously-long black nails that have become part of her signature look, on top of her two-toned slime-green ‘do — accessorised in Chanel — which probably cost more than your purse.

The Little Women star bumped up her look with a midi updo, punctuated with choppy bangs that stole the limelight on the red carpet. Whoever said bangs were out of style, obviously hasn’t seen this new rendition of the Audrey Hepburn inspired ‘do.

KAITLYN DEVER

Craving for a minimalist look? When it comes to a simple makeover like Kaitlyn’s, it’s tough for it to ever go south. Here, the actress takes on a dramatic cat-eye look to complement her sustainable crimson red Louis Vuitton gown, along with a rosy pop of colour on her cheeks.

BILLY PORTER

It’s all about the glow this year at the Oscars — and no one does it better than  Billy Porter himself. Stealing the spotlight with his bold gilded ensemble, the star kept his look more muted and focused on a more polished and radiant finish. To top things off, he also opted for a deep side part — adding on, yet another noteworthy look to his book of theatrical outfits on the red carpet.

Raked back in an understated twist, Florence Pugh shows us that there’s beauty in overgrown roots. The Little Women star also complimented her outfit with a peachy inspired makeup look for a sweet finishing touch.

JANELLE MONÁE

Opting for a metallic eyeliner look may seem unformidable to some, but Janelle Monáe rocked it best on the red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards. Aside from her stunning see-through sparkling gown (adorned with 168,000 crystals — no biggie), the star also went for a bold eye look with a subtle stroke of a metallic eyeliner, topped with long, voluminous lashes and a bold red lip to go with.

NATALIE PORTMAN

We might have just found the most stunning ‘do of the night — and it’s none other than Natalie Portman herself. With a blunt but textured bob style, Ms. Portman has won over our hearts with this buzzworthy cut that’s got us scurrying for an appointment at the hair salon stat! Not to mention, we couldn’t help but pore over her custom Dior gown and cape which had the last names of eight women directors who directed movies in 2019, embroidered on one side — which included the likes of Lorene Scafaria, Lulu Wang, Greta Gerwig, Mati Diop, Marielle Heller, Melina Matsoukas, Alma Har’el, and Céline Sciamma!

MARGOT ROBBIE

Besides ruling the red carpet in her onyx off-shoulder gown, she kept it classy and chic by sticking to an eyeshadow look that’s more subdued, topped with a signature bold red lip to keep things simple and in vogue.
