Celebrities Who Use Social Media to Entertain While Observing Social Distancing for COVID-19

We are well into the fourth month since the first spread of COVID-19 and now that the virus has become more widespread globally, we’ve seen large gatherings such as concerts, movie premieres, and festivals getting cancelled to prevent the possibility of a further spread.

Over in the United States, many individuals, including celebrities, have chosen to practice social distancing as a preventive measure by keeping themselves shut-in at home. While this can be a particularly stir-crazy act for most of us, some of these celebrities have chosen to find the silver lining in this global pandemic by reaching out to their fans through mini-performances held on their various social media platforms.

Here’s a list of celebrities who have taken time out of their social distancing to entertain their fans.

Encouraging some of these brilliant gestures from the celebrities and musicians is the initiative that Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO) have teamed up to create.

Aptly named Together At Home, this virtual concert series aims to promote unity amidst the COVID-19 pandemic’s social distancing protocols with a line-up of mini-concerts presented by some of the biggest musicians. Every day will feature a new Together, At Home performance which will be held live on Instagram at 1pm PT, 4pm ET and 8pm GMT. You can visit Global Citizen’s Facebook page, Twitter page, or Instagram page to get updates on the next live performance.
