Sneaker drops come and go, but if you’re a fan of casual sneakers paired with a minimalist dress or paperbag jeans, then this one’s for you — Superga, together with homegrown lifestyle brand The Paper Bunny, is presenting this new sneaker collaboration, meant to recall our fondness for adventure, exploration, and sweet escapes.
These whimsical themes fit in very well with The Paper Bunny‘s design ethos, whose notebooks, tote bags, and stationery always inspire us to dream. As for the sneaker collection, the 4 styles are accented with embroidered illustrations of stars and lines, along with gold foiled quotes such as “Gone Exploring” and “Chasing Stars”, scribbled on like your very own note to self.
Oh, one more thing — the designs are meant for the whole family as well, with designs catered for dad, mom, and junior, perhaps due to founder Jaime Lee‘s real-life inspiration. Of course, these are based off Superga’s best-selling staples, and in a muted palette so versatile, you might be tempted to get the “men’s” style for yourself!
Here, your basic white 2750 sneaker transforms into a not-so-basic style with a cotton twill upper and gold eyelets that match the little gold foil quote stamped on the sides. You also get both cotton flat laces and thick satin laces with the design. Another soon-to-be-hit and our personal favourite would be the 2402 mule, in a uniquely dyed shade of muted pink and with a cutaway back that allows you to slip into your shoes with ease.
The other white 2750 design comes with a contrasting palette — stark white in soft cotton twill with matte white eyelets, paired with deep ocean blue on the inner and outer sole and matching blue laces. Then again, you’ll also be getting white flat laces, so it can be the all-white shoe of your dreams, accented with the gold quote “Going Places”. Lastly, we’ve got the Junior Strap pair that’s made for your “Little Explorer”, in a pretty periwinkle blue with embroidered stars and strokes, and a velcro strap for fuss-free shoe-wearing.
Each pair comes with an accompanying drawstring bag in a nude beige for adults and pale blue for juniors too. We might not be able to travel that much nowadays, but adventure could be nearer than you think.
