Laura Mercier launches an entire new range of Skincare and everything is Beautiful

When I think of the brand Laura Mercier, a few famous products come to mind: the ubiquitous Translucent Loose Setting Powder, the super easy-to-use Caviar Stick Eye Colour, and of course, the best-selling Tinted Moisturizer. It was only recently in 2018 that the brand introduced a new logo in celebration of the founder’s roots in both Paris and New York; and with this new image came a steady unveiling of new products — mainly makeup, which is in the brand’s DNA.

This June, Laura Mercier will launch an entire new line of skincare to complement the rest of its product offerings, and this will include everything from face wash and scrubs, to creams and oils. The idea is to achieve fresh, healthy and glowing skin using natural formulations that are straightforward and that just work.

Here’s a guide to the range of 10 new skincare products that will launch soon:

1. Balancing Foaming Cleanser, $55

This rich, creamy face wash lifts dirt, makeup and excess oil without stripping the skin of essential moisture. It has Prickly Pear extract that keeps skin hydrated while dissolving surface impurities.

2. Purifying Micellar Water, $55

This is a no-rinse, skin-soothing micellar water enriched with White Waterlily and Noni Leaf Extracts, both rich in vitamins and amino acids. The formula dissolves makeup effectively, leaving skin feeling clean, hydrated and reinvigorated.

3. Conditioning Cleansing Oil, $65

This cleanser is a blend of seven natural oils, including: Safflower Seed Oil, Borage Seed Oil, Moringa Seed Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil, Kukui Seed Oil, and Rose Flower Oil, among other natural ingredients. It effortlessly removes dirt and waterproof makeup, while keeping skin balanced, soft, smooth and hydrated.

4. Soothing Eye Makeup Remover, $40

This is a water-based cleanser that is infused with Cornflower that calms the delicate skin around the eye area, while oils gently remove makeup.

5. Refining Crème Polish, $55

Another necessary, but sometimes forgotten step in a skincare regime, a face scrub helps to remove dead skin cells, encouraging cell turnover and more radiant, smooth skin. This one is gentle and made with Avena Sativa and Chamomile Flower Extract, which not only smooths, but also soothes the skin.

6. Illuminating Eye Cream, $90

The right eye cream makes all the difference to your appearance. This one brings down puffiness, lightens under-eye darkness, and smooths out fine, dry lines. It includes Green Coffee Seed Oil that reinvigorates and plumps the skin, and light-reflecting Violet Pearl for immediate brightening.

7. Nourishing Rose Oil, $110

The star product in this line-up, this rose oil is extremely lightweight, and balances the moisture levels on skin. The result is an overall healthier complexion. There’s Kukui and Macadamia Seed Oils, with both of these super oils having skin rejuvenating properties.

8. The Perfect Cream Multi-Tasking Moisturizer, $110

This lightweight, moisturising cream is formulated with antioxidants, Black Tea Ferment, which is rich in vitamins, and a Marine Complex; all of which improve the skin inside and out. Upon application, the product feels cool and refreshing, and it absorbs comfortably into skin, perfectly prepping it for makeup use.

9. Mattifying Oil-Free Moisturizer, $110

This one is good for those with oilier skin types; it is oil-free and formulated with French Lavender Floral Water and Honey, resulting in a lovely, matte look and feel.

10. Hydrating Lip Balm, $42

I love lip balms in a stick form, and this one is simple and classy; the product glides on smoothly without being too soft, and it’s both colourless and fragrance-free. Ingredients include cold-pressed Plum Seed Oil for nourishment, and Olive-Derived Squalane for hydration.

Laura Mercier skincare, $40-$110, launching in June at the Laura Mercier Store, TANGS @ TANG Plaza, ROBINSONS HEEREN, and online at TANGS.COM and ROBINSONS.COM.SG.
