Nike Is Dropping Colour-Changing Versions Of 2 Classic Silhouettes

Inspired by sports fans who root for their favourite teams from all over the world, Nike is launching new colour-changing sneakers in classic silhouettes, all of which change colour based on the wear patterns of each individual wearer.

Featuring a brush-off leather upper, the Nike Air Force 1 PRM and Nike Air Max 90 PRM slowly transform over time from home to away shades, and vice versa, all through natural wear and tear. Each pair also bears compasses on the tongues and hang tags, along with jewel Swooshes on the side.

The Air Force 1s come in 3 colour combinations. The first comes in a light grey upper, which rubs off to reveal a rich navy blue, and the second bears a clean, white shade that transforms into a refreshing cornflower blue. The third colourway features a deceivingly simple black upper which fades into a burnt sienna.

On the other hand, the Air Max 90s come in a cream, black and orange colourway, alongside a grey, indigo and navy version. The third colourway, along with how the sneaker looks with the colour-changing technology, has yet to be revealed.

The Air Force 1 PRM and Air Max 90 PRM release June 6 on nike.com, the Nike App and select retailers. Price TBA.
