Even though we have transitioned from the end of the Circuit Breaker to the start of Phase One, a lot of our usual activities, including the ability to get a scoop of ice cream after a meal, are still temporarily suspended until Phase Two. While it could be a few more weeks till the return to a bit of after-dinner normalcy since COVID-19, here are 10 artisanal and handmade ice cream parlours that can help tide you over with their delivery of frozen sweet treats right to your doorstep.

Founded by two ice cream visionaries who believe in using quality, natural and fresh products to create the highest quality ice cream, Apiary is home to an assortment of unique flavours which include Ferrero Rocher, a hazelnut based ice cream with rich dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut bits; Apiary, their signature best-seller made using wildflower honey ice cream with caramelised cocoa nibs; and my personal favourite — the Blue Milk, a milk-based ice cream, reminiscent of the famous Star Wars drink, infused with blue pea flowers and seasoned with a pinch of Himalayan pink salt.

2. BIRDS OF PARADISE
Known for their interesting botanical flavours, Birds of Paradise offers their full menu online for you to enjoy at home. Choose from their best-selling Lychee Raspberry which features a sweet rose fragrance of lychee and delicate drops of raspberry, to their decadent Midnight Gianduja, a rich chocolate flavoured ice cream made with Italian hazelnuts and dark chocolate. As production is limited during this period, their online store will only be restocked daily at 1pm so don’t worry if you see a sold-out page!

3. CREAMIER
The popular ice cream parlour Creamier is offering their handcrafted flavours in pints for you to indulge in within your own living room. The assortment of flavours includes their bestselling Sea Salt Gula Melaka as well as their seasonal online exclusive Espresso. In addition to their frozen delights, Creamier is also giving you an opportunity to enjoy their signature golden waffles at home. Each pack comes with 4 handcrafted waffle slices that have been kept frozen with re-heating instructions for easy preparation.

4. DOPA DOPA CREAMERY
Using only natural ingredients to create their rendition of a gelato, Dopa Dopa Creamery is dedicated to creating high-quality gelato which is why they produce less than 10 flavours a day. Unfortunately, there isn’t a ready menu available for you to browse the available flavours but you can drop the team a message via WhatsApp on weekdays to find out the assorted flavours for the day.

5. FATCAT ICE CREAM BAR
As a way to accommodate current government-mandated measures, FATCAT Ice Cream Bar has come up with their own online menu with a variety of their made from scratch ice cream flavours that include their signature flavours such as Butter Beer, Earl Grey Lavender, and Watermelon Soju. Aside from their ice cream, the menu allows for you to order their Brown Butter Waffle ($5.50) served with Salted Caramel Sauce or Chocolate Sauce and the Charcoal Waffle ($6.50) served with either the Salted Caramel Sauce or their iconic Salted Egg Yolk Sauce (for an extra $1).

10. TOM’S PALETTE
Known for their inventive and interesting flavours such as Chee Cheong Fan, Nasi Lemak, and White Chocolate Nori, Tom’s Palette has created a special pre-order menu that features different flavours weekly for you to pre-order with home delivery made the following week.
