Since their much-anticipated recent comeback with a new hit single “How You Like That” — with over 200 million views on Youtube in under two weeks, BLACKPINK has followed up on the craze with the release of a dance choreography video for the track. This comes with the announcement that YG Entertainment will be hosting an online dance cover contest.
This latest video showcases the full uncut dance sequence for “How You Like That,” allowing fans of the K-Pop girl group to learn it in its entirety themselves. According to an official announcement by BLACKPINK on Facebook, anyone who’s able to master this choreography can enter this “HYLT” international dance cover contest by filming a video, uploading it to YouTube with the hashtag #HYLT_Dancecovercontest, and filling out a form online.
Three teams will be selected as winners based on a combination of YouTube views and assessment by YG Entertainment executives. And the prize? A whooping ₩20 million KRW (approximately $180,477) cash prize will be split amongst the winning teams.
So, watch the full “HYLT” choreography video, round up a couple of your most dance adept friends, and consider having a go at this dance contest ending 20 July, 10:59 pm SGT!
Besides winning all that cash, maybe this is YG Entertainment’s new strategy for scouting new members of a yet-to-be-launched K-Pop group as well. And who knows, perhaps you’re exactly the person they’re looking for.
