Since its launch in 2000, CHANEL’s J12 watch has been breaking new ground in the fashion and horology industry — it features an original movement exclusive to CHANEL, and an innovative highly-resistant ceramic case and bracelet pioneering the use of the material in serious luxury watches.
In fact, CHANEL is the only luxury fashion label to have an haute couture atelier, as well as award-winning fine watchmaking expertise that rivals established Swiss watch brands.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the watch, CHANEL will be launching a new limited-edition model called the J12∙20.
J12∙20 MOTIFS
The J12∙20 sports the familiar white or black polished ceramic link bracelet, with the addition of diamonds and rhodium-plated motifs representing 20 iconic symbols of CHANEL adorned on its case and bezel.

With references that include Gabrielle, Camélia, Comète, and the N°5 fragrance, the J12∙20 offers a glance of all the inspirations from the past and present that have come to be synonymous with the luxury label, from a bold and fun perspective.
J12∙20 WATCH MOVEMENT
The horology enthusiast will note the CHANEL J12 Calibre 12.1 watch movement produced by the Geneva-based manufacturer Kenissi, used in this model that’s visible on the case back. This impressive watch movement is responsible for securing the top win for the ladies’ fine watch category at the prestigious 2019 Grand Prix D’Horlogerie de Genève watch festival for its performance.
This self-winding Swiss manufacture watch movement boasts a 70-hour power reserve and 200m water resistance, that’s comparable to some of the best sport watches by established luxury watch companies.
The J12∙20 is only available in white, with the option of a dainty 33mm case, or a statement-making 38mm case, and is limited to 2020 pieces each only worldwide.
J12∙20 HAUTE HORLOGERIE
An Haute Horlogerie version in black or white, featuring the aforementioned motifs, now all over the J12∙20’s watch case and bezel, as well as a diamond-studded watch movement, is also available. These highly exclusive pieces come numbered and are limited to only 5 pieces each. So, you’ll need to be quick to get your hands on these.
