Fans of Danish butter cookies are in for a treat as famed Danish confectionary Leckerbaer is set to open its first official overseas store here in Singapore!
Known for their inventive remakes of the traditional Danish butter cookies, Leckerbaer is looking to share a little piece of Copenhagen with us as they open the doors to their 36-seater patisserie at Isetan Scotts on 23 July 2020.

Founded by experienced pastry chefs Jakob and Gabi Mogensen in 2014, Leckerbaer revived the interest in Danish culinary tradition of the småkager or Danish butter cookies and has since garnered loyal fans with their variety of exquisite, IG-worthy bakes made from Danish butter and premium ingredients.
Here’s a look at what you’ll be able to find when Leckerbaer opens in Singapore.

Here’s your chance to try the reinvented Danish butter cookies Leckerbaer is known for with a variety of core flavours and seasonal offerings. Star flavours include the Raspberry ($2.80) which features two buttery cookies with a hefty dollop of raspberry jam in-between; Caramel ($2.80) finished with a tart blueberry meringue; and Vanilla ($2.80), which is accentuated with calamansi. Some seasonal flavours that you can look out for are the Nordic produce Verbena and Blackcurrant.

Those who enjoy their baked goods with a bit of citrus tang would like the Signature Lemon & Sea Buckthorn Tart ($7), which features tangy sea buckthorn and lemon curd, buttery shortcrust and finished with a torched Italian meringue.

If you’re looking for some tea time cakes, Leckerbaer offers a selection of small cakes including the Blondie ($7) — a fluffy white chocolate cake topped with passionfruit curd and white chocolate pearls, and the Carrot ($7), a spongy carrot cake baked with cinnamon and fresh carrots; topped with buttery whipped cream cheese and tangy lemon curd.

Besides sweet treats, Leckerbaer is able to cater those who fancy a savoury snack with their vegetarian-friendly Peas & Avocado Tart ($11) and their gruyere cheese-filled Quiche Tart ($13), served with parma ham and a pickled onion and herb salad.

Ahead of the opening, Leckerbaer is offering you a chance to pre-order their signature baked goods via their online website for pick-up or delivery starting 25 July 2020, as the pre-order slots for 23 and 24 July are already full.
Next day delivery is available, with islandwide delivery services chargeable at $15. Free delivery applies for orders above $100.
