I Tried Strip’s Thermal Shape Treatment For A Perky Butt And This Is How It Turned Out

Achieving a perky booty is what many women strive for. For anyone who’s looking to build a twerking, butt smacking, booty-shaking bum, you would’ve heard that a sure way of achieving that is a regimen of squats, a diet, or even going under the scalpel. And though we’ve tried our best working our asses off (literally) and we’re far from considering surgery, it does help to have a lift every now and then.

Having said that, I chanced upon thermal shaping treatments quite recently while browsing through Strip’s latest offerings. Unlike other surgical procedures, thermal shaping treatments are anything but invasive. Targeted to reduce the appearance of cellulite, the treatment works to re-shape and tone the body, giving it a smoother silhouette while reducing the appearance of wrinkles and improving skin laxity. Now, this treatment is definitely suitable for anyone — whether you’re a get-off-your-butt fitspo, a marathoner or even just a 1-miler — so long as you’re looking for an instant butt lift. So when I heard that this treatment is also recommended to complement your workouts, I knew I couldn’t give it a miss.

THERMAL SHAPING TREATMENT

Anything that involves instantly altering one’s shape is usually deemed invasive and may come across as unnatural. But before you start forming your impressions, you might want to hear us out first. Within this Thermal Shaping Treatment, you can expect a 4-in-1 system that combines Thermal O2 Technology (Radio Frequency, Vacuum Suction and Heat) with Ultrasound Cavitation. Penetrating deep into the fat tissues, the process helps to emulsify and shrink fat cells while enhancing blood circulation, contract collagen fibres, and rebuild new collagen and elastin for a firming effect.

THE PROCESS

I tried the thermal shaping treatment on my butt to find out if it really did live up to the hype. Before they started zapping away, my therapist slathered on a generous amount of cooling gel onto the area before gliding over the Ultrasound applicator. There was a mild ringing in the ear when this was being applied onto the skin which may be uncomfortable at first, but you will probably get used to throughout the course of the treatment. However, I did feel some stinging sensations in certain areas where it was applied — the pain was somewhat comparable to an ant bite. Of course, I did clarify with my therapist about the pain I was experiencing, and she mentioned that it doesn’t occur that often — so it might just be me.

Then came the second part of the treatment — the Thermal O2. In this stage, my therapist explained how the process involves lifting, toning and shaping your silhouette by rolling over the area coupled with vacuum suctions. Similarly, the cooling gel was applied to the area before my therapist used the Thermal O2 applicator. At first, I was hesitant about the process because it did involve some form of vacuum suction of which my therapist had advised that it may be a bit more uncomfortable than the Ultrasound cavitation. However, to my surprise, I thought otherwise. It was painless and it felt more like a massage than it did feel like torture to me — in fact, I almost fell asleep during this part of the treatment.

THE RESULTS

After the whole treatment, I took a look in the mirror to find out the difference it had on my ass. I didn’t exactly see a noticeable difference but after giving it a hard look, it was more lifted than before. Though it was too quick for me to judge, I gave the treatment some time for the results to kick in. And after 3 weeks, coupled with a few booty-infused workouts, I could definitely see the difference.

L — R: Before and after the treatment.

Evidently, my bum was a lot perkier and rounder than before. Also, there wasn’t much to do in terms of aftercare and there was no downtime post-treatment, although I felt a little sore the day after which quickly dissipated in 1 to 2 days and not to mention I also applied Two Lips’ Ice Calming Rescue Cream on the area which also helped.

There are also a few things you need to know and do during the first 24 hours after the treatment and includes the following:

🌟 Perform light exercise for a minimum of 20 minutes (eg. walking)
🌟 No alcohol consumption
🌟 No hot baths
🌟 No swimming or sunbathing
🌟 No tight clothing
🌟 No scrubbing or rubbing of the treated areas
🌟 No intensive exercise
🌟 Do not undergo any or UV treatments like sun beds or saunas.
🌟 Apply Two Lips Ice Calming Rescue Cream on the area

OVERALL VERDICT

In my opinion, I would say that the treatment did work for me and my booty and it was more bearable than I thought it would be. Though the results were not that obvious at first, I can imagine how different it can transform your body if you follow through with 8 sessions at 1-2 week intervals, followed by maintenance sessions once every 2 to 3 months as recommended by Strip.

Since it’s also known as a treatment that complements your workout, the results would be more obvious if you consistently workout post-treatment for more optimal results. Another great thing to note about it is that there’s little to no downtime for the treatment so you can go about your day without having to worry about putting much thought in aftercare.

However, the downside of the treatment for me was the stinging sensation from the Ultrasound cavitation which made the experience a little uncomfortable at first. Nevertheless, after overcoming that part of the treatment, the rest was a breeze.

The thermal treatment is also not limited to the butt and can also treat problematic areas of the lower body including thighs, love handles, stomach, and pubic area.
