Local Photographers Capture the Spirit of National Day with the Huawei P40 Series

Looking to upgrade your phone to one with great camera capabilities to capture the fireworks this National Day? Huawei’s recent flagship P40 series features three different models — the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ — with similar but distinct camera capabilities that will suit all individuals, which includes the amateur hobbyist and the professional photographer.

To showcase the camera capabilities of the Huawei P40 Series of smartphones, Huawei has invited five local photographers — Bryan van der Beek, Don Lee, Junaidi Lim, Zipeng Lee and Jovanne Amolat — to capture everyday sights that invoke the local spirit and shed new light on how we can creatively view the things around us.

One of the best things about photography is having the ability to uncover, see and present things in a new perspective.

From what may seem like a plain-looking void deck to a shadow on the wall, the Huawei P40 Series of smartphones are able to help you play on the depth of field and angles with their built-in camera capabilities, giving you fresh, interesting takes on everyday subjects around you.

Go Wide for the Best View

Singapore is a city with its fair share of skyscrapers such as the Marina Bay Sands and even the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay. When looking to shoot tall buildings like these, it is important to ensure your smartphone camera can give you the wide-angle or ultra-wide-angle modes that you’ll need.

The Huawei P40 smartphones are each powered with the advanced Ultra Vision Leica camera system which lets you capture sweeping landscapes and wide panoramas with ease in one single shot.

Zoom In For Details

It can be hard sometimes to take photos without zooming in to the subject you are trying to photograph, especially when you are looking to capture the smallest of details like the art mural on the side of a building or something at a far off distance that you cannot get near.

With the Huawei P40 Pro’s 50x SuperSensing Zoom or the P40 Pro+ 10x true optical zoom and 100x maximum digital zoom, you’ll be able to tap on their powerful zoom capabilities to see further and catch all the details with great clarity.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Huawei P40 Series features the P40 ($1,048), P40 Pro ($1,448) and P40 Pro+ ($1,898), which are available islandwide at local telecommunications operators, Huawei Concept Stores, authorised Huawei retailers and online at Huawei’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee.

In addition to the smartphone, you’ll also receive a free Huawei Band 4 Pro fitness tracker (worth $88), while stocks last.
