Apple iPad Air Comes in Five Beautiful Colours and with A14 Bionic, Apple’s Most Advanced Chip

Since the launch of the very-first iPad Air in November 2013, Apple has been innovating the machine, making it more and more powerful and useful. Today, they announce their most powerful version, with A14 Bionic chip. The iPad Air also has a sleek, new design that includes a 10.9″ Liquid Retina all-screen display, and it comes in five finishes: silver, space grey, rose gold, green and sky blue.

The top button now integrates a next-generation Touch ID sensor so you can easily and securely unlock the iPad Air, log in to apps, or use Apple Pay with it.

The device is also compatible with the new floating Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio, and Apple Pencil — which can be attached magnetically to the side for instant pairing, charging and storing. This was a feature previously only available in the high-end iPad Pro.

PERFORMANCE

The new, powerful A14 Bionic chip enables easy 4k video editing, increased performance for games, and better handling for any demanding app. Overall, it gives a 40% faster CPU and 30% faster graphics.

As expected, the camera has been upgraded as well to a 7MP front-facing FaceTime HD lens, and a 12MP rear camera that is the same one used in iPad Pro.

The charging port has been changed to USB-C so it’s a lot faster, the speakers have been redesigned for stereo sound, plus the device will come loaded with iPadOS 14 that has an improved interface, including a new compact design for the Search function.
