Apple's First Floating Store Opens 10 September At Marina Bay Sands

Singapore’s third official Apple Store is finally opening on 10 September, and this looks to be a retail experience like no other.

The first ever Apple Store to sit directly on the water, Apple Marina Bay Sands is a perfect fit against the beautiful Singapore skyline. Fully self-supported, the floating sphere is the first-of-its-kind — even with over 500 Apple Stores worldwide, this incredible piece of architecture is making Apple history.

While the all-glass dome structure looks super cool from the outside, the interior offers views you don’t want to miss out on — light flows into the store and travels through the space in the day, while custom baffles help to provide a nighttime lighting effect after dark. Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the city from within the store, whether you’re browsing through new products or waiting to collect the latest addition to your Apple collection.

Like other Apple Stores, visitors are free to explore curated Apple products and accessories, and personal technical support will be offered from Geniuses — the 148-person team collectively speaks over 23 languages, so both tourists and locals are sure to find someone who can help them out and answer any questions they may have.

Today at Apple sessions will also be held at Apple Marina Bay Sands, featuring Singapore’s artists, musicians and creators. Held at The Forum, contributors will take center stage against a widescreen Video Wall, with views of Singapore acting as a natural backdrop. Apple’s first underwater Boardroom is also located on the lower level of the store, where entrepreneurs and developers can meet with Apple team members.

Apple Stores islandwide have implemented rigorous health measures for both employees and visitors, including a mask requirement, temperature checks, limited capacity, continuous deep cleaning and safe distancing.
