This year, Taobao will be having their annual 9.9 sale, called the 99 Mega Sale, from now till 11 September.

1. Free international shipping!

Not sure where to start? One money-saving tip would be to go for items and brands that offer free international shipping. For ease of convenience, Taobao has created an exclusive landing page with a list of items that offer free shipping, with a min. spend of RMB299 (~$60) on popular items across multiple categories. In fact, from 9 September – 20 October, shop from this channel and you might win a cashback hongbao for 11.11, their next sale in November.

Other free shipping details include the Taobao Official Shipping Mega Promo, where you can snag promo codes to offset overseas shipping. Available in limited quantities, these include a RMB230 (~$46) shipping hongbao to offset your first 0.5m³ worth of sea shipping, or RMB22 (~$4) hongbaos to offset your first kg of shipping. This is applicable only to orders being shipped to local addresses.
2. NEW! Dedicated Taobao Livestreams for Singapore Shoppers
Taobao will be introducing livestreams to entice local shoppers with deals, while the host will also share tips on how to maximise your savings during their 99 Mega Sale — tune in, and you’ll also be rewarded with exclusive promo codes! 4. Kinohimitsu x Taobao Pop-Up Store
During the 99 Mega Sale event, Taobao has also partnered with a well-loved Singapore health and wellness brand, Kinohimitsu, for a pop-up store at Suntec City mall, from 9 September. The space will showcase some of Kinohimitsu’s best products, including their popular collagen drinks, as well as feature exclusive bundles, and partner products that are making their first appearance in Singapore, and come with free international shipping.
To celebrate this opening, from 9 – 11 September, Kinohimitsu will be offering up to 60% off storewide, and 50% off exclusive Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond bundles, both offline and online! Exclusively at the pop-up store, however, Taobao users can redeem an additional RMB25 (~$5) shop voucher, while the first 500 customers who spend RMB599 (~$120) and above will receive a free facial mist spray.
