Our favourite Kånken bags are now incorporating wool into their construction; and not just any wool — recycled wool. Fjallraven calls this, Re-Wool. It’s a mix of G-1000 HeavyDuty Eco S (for pockets, back panel and lining) and a fabric that consists of 80% pre-consumer recycled wool from Prato, Italy. The wool is colour sorted, shredded and re-spun, and with no need to redye it, this process saves water and energy. This wool is then combined with 20% recycled nylon for better strength and durability. Here’s what the bags look like:
