This month, New Balance releases two new collaborations based on its iconic 327 sneaker silhouette — the Aries 327 and Levi’s 327. This 70s-inspired retro runner aesthetic is given a modern, lifestyle twist with these two new designs.

ARIES 327

The London-based fashion label, Aries reinterprets the New Balance 327 as an early 90s lifestyle trainer, with hints of ’00s reflective highlights that were commonly seen in Italian trainers of that time. Instead of the usual nylon and suede, Aries 327 sees a 100% leather upper, and comes in two colourways: all-white and all-black. The brand describes the resulting design as “an irresistible casual early-90s football terrace aesthetic”.

LEVI’S 327

The Levi’s 327 features the denim brand’s signature material — denim — and will come in three colourways, all featuring an asymmetrical design and hints of denim across the uppers. For men, there’s navy/indigo/white and navy/white/grey; for women, there’s the grey/sky blue/white combination. The signature New Balance “N” is splashed oversized across the side, and further emphasised with Levi’s iconic red tab.
