Virtual Play Murder At Mandai Camp Returns With A Gameplay Sequel Starring Benjamin Kheng

Since virtually staging their debut play Mandai Camp: A Supernatural Murder Mystery in June 2020, the team at Sight Lines Entertainment is proud to present their sequel, Murder at Mandai Camp: The Case Reopens, with new additions to the cast in Asia’s first-ever virtual horror-mystery escape room with live-action gameplay.

Benjamin Kheng as CID Officer Lemuel Ng.

The new format picks up from where the virtual play prequel ended as lead investigator, CID Officer Lemuel Ng (played by Benjamin Kheng) is now tasked to take on the case in a continued search for the culprit behind the demise of the young recruit Ilhan Rozells (played by Irsyad Dawood).

Set within the investigator’s office, the interactive gameplay will lead you through a spine-chilling narrative filled with physical evidence, footages, and flashbacks with a story that will unfold in a non-linear manner based on your decisions and choices.

Pushing the boundary of theatre in the digital realm, the sequel will act like a choose-your-own adventure gameplay complete with 360-degree augmented views and immersive surround sound, where you will be introduced to an immersive experience as a fellow investigator.

Your task is to collate clues and key pieces of evidence that will ultimately lead to identifying the culprit. The highly interactive format will also give you the opportunity to toggle between different evidence and videos with blink-and-you-might-miss-it surprises.

F&B COLLABORATION WITH AH SAM COLD DRINK STALL

To make your experience a lot more fun, local cocktail institution Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall has prepared two bottled cocktails that you can enjoy while you investigate.

Pisang Noir and Scent of Plumeria from Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall.

Featuring a mysterious fragrance, The Scent of Plumeria is crafted with a blend of gin, sloe gin, Lillet Blanc, citrus and orchids while the Pisang Noir is made with a velvety combination of rum, sweet vermouth, banana, Mozart dark chocolate liqueur, charcoal powder, and garnished with a banana chip.

The drinks are available for purchase in a 2-pax bundle ($75) and 4-pax bundle ($130). Each bundle will also come with an official clue that will help you in solving the mystery!

THE MYSTERY DRAW

As the case drags on, the parents of the deceased recruit, the Rozells, have offered a $1,000 bounty to one lucky investigator who uncovers the truth. Open to Singapore and international audiences, the Mystery Draw gives you a chance to not only enjoy the gameplay but also stand a chance to win $1,000 when you successfully collect all the key evidence and identify the culprit.

The Mystery Draw will begin from 22 December 2020 at 8pm and conclude on 2 January 2020 at 5.30am.
