Emirates Introduces Premium Economy Class to the A380 Experience, Plus Upgrades To All Cabins

According to Wikipedia, Emirates is currently the largest Airbus A380 operator with 117 aircraft in service with a further 5 on order. The A380 is the world’s largest passenger airliner, and interestingly, Airbus is ending its production this year because its massive frame is just so expensive to produce. And its precisely its size that makes it perfect for housing many types of cabin classes. On Singapore Airlines (who incidentally were the first airline to fly the A380), the A380 has all four cabin types: Suites, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. On the Emirates A380, the Premium Economy class has just joined the ranks and boasts an impressive cabin experience. Here’s what you can expect.

PREMIUM ECONOMY

There are a total of 56 seats in a 2-4-2 cabin layout. The pitch is 40″, with the seat being 19.5″ wide and reclining 8″ into a cradle position with decent room to stretch.

The seats also resemble the ones from Business Class, with a cream-coloured anti-stain leather cover with stitching details, and a wood panel finish.

Other features include a 13.3″ screen, easily accessible in-seat charging ports, a wide dining table, side cocktail table, three dedicated lavatories, and the cabin is located at the front of the main deck for a convenient in and out of the plane. Watch this and check out more photos below.
