OPPO Launches A15s — An Entry-Level Smartphone With A Bigger Display And More Storage Space

OPPO begins 2021 with the launch of the OPPO A15s — the latest entry-level addition to their range of smartphones which is set to deliver an enhanced mobile entertainment experience with bigger storage and an immersive 6.52-inch display, alongside AI Triple Cameras and a high capacity battery that caters to your daily needs.

Here’s a closer look at what you can expect from the OPPO A15s.


OPPO’s A15s is built with a large 6.52-inch Waterdrop Screen.

With a 7.9mm thin enclosure, the OPPO A15s is built with a 3D curved body and 3D vacuum coating to provide a comfortable hold, and a large 6.52-inch Waterdrop Screen and a narrow bezel for an immersive experience with a high-resolution HD+ screen to give you great visual clarity while you binge-watch your favourite show or get into a gaming session on your mobile.

The display also comes equipped with the Eye Comfort Filters to filter out blue light and alleviate eye strain, and the Sunlight Screen which provides enough brightness for you to use your phone under the sun. Plus, the AI Brightness on the phone has the ability to remember screen luminosity preferences, helping you to automatically adjust the backlight based on your previous using habits.

Equipped with the latest ColorOS 7.2, the A15s boosts day-to-day efficiency using a suite of convenient features such as the Dark Mode, which comes with colour contrast improvements; 3-finger Scrolling Screenshot, to easily capture screenshots just by scrolling down on the screen with three fingers; the Icon Pull-Down Gesture, which shrinks all app icons on the home screen to make them accessible within a thumb’s reach; and the Smart Sidebar, a floating window that provides quick access to your favourite apps or most-used tools.

Capture clear photos easily with the AI Triple Rear Camera featuring a 13MP Main Camera, 2MP Macro Lens which allows you to capture fine details of as close as 4cm when you zoom right into the focus of your photo, and a 2MP Depth Camera that is dedicated to capturing more natural-looking portrait shots.

For portrait photos, the A15s provides an HDR feature which is able to take bright portraits where you can adjust and optimise shots in both backlight and low light conditions while retaining the background details. Portrait Bokeh, where the subject stands out from the blurred background, is also available, in addition to six other unique portrait filters.

The rear camera system on the OPPO A15s offers AI Scene Enhancement as well, giving you the ability to enhance the landscape or scenic photos by combining Dazzle Color and AI Scene Recognition to beautify up to 21 different scenarios. Re-Optimized Front and Rear Filters help to ensure consistency in the photos while using the rear cameras, giving you a variety of different filters and styles to choose from.

The front of the phone houses the 8MP Front Camera which is ideal for capturing selfies with OPPO’s self-developed AI Beautification. With this feature, the A15s is able to instantly enhance your skin tone and complexion in a way that looks natural — ensuring your photo comes out looking IG-ready.

As OPPO’s latest entry-level phone, the A15s boasts a large storage capacity of 64GB, which can be extended to 256GB. Equipped. With an octa-core chipset, the A15s can deliver impressive and smooth performance with low power consumption. It is also equipped with system-level optimisations that include the Memory Defragmentation 2.0, which reduces your free memory space from being broken into little, unusable pieces to increase the overall phone performance by 5%.

For a smoother and more responsive gaming experience, the A15s uses HyperBoost 2.1 to predict the state of the phone’s performance and adjust accordingly to avoid or reduce occurrences of a frame rate loss. This helps to ensure that you enjoy steady in-game graphics with less lag with a smoother touch response for a better gaming experience.

To top off the experience, the A15s comes built with Dirac 2.0, a state-of-the-art digital sound correction technology that optimises its acoustic effects to give you the ultimate entertainment experience.

The OPPO A15s is powered with a large 4230mAh battery that can last you through the day on a single charge. Even when you happen to find yourself out of juice, the A15s is able to activate the Super Power Saving Mode which helps to extend the battery life until you can get home to charge the phone.


The OPPO A15s retails at $199 and is available in Dynamic Black and Mystery Blue from 9 January 2021 at OPPO concept stores, island-wide authorised retailers, and online at OPPO’s official Lazada and Shopee Flagship stores.
