Melissa x Lazy Oaf Is Here With The Jelly Platforms Of Our 90s Dreams

While we don’t think Backstreet Boys’ hit single “I Want It That Way” will ever be cool among the Gen Zs outside of a meme, there are some 90s trends worth revisiting. And this Melissa x Lazy Oaf collaboration gives us plenty to be jelly about. The vegan footwear brand has teamed up with Lazy Oaf for a nostalgic series of jelly shoes — platform sandals, no less — that’s just peak quirky. Other than black, these chunky styles include pink, green, and blue colourways adorned with heart and daisy motifs on the strap, with accompanying jelly handbags to boot.

Even better?  The sandals and bags by the London label, like all of Melissa’s footwear actually, are 100% recyclable plastic and sustainably produced. Vibrant shades, oversized  plastic motifs, and translucent straps definitely capture the loud 90s aesthetic, while the Kick Off Sandals also include a Lazy Oaf-style clip and velcro fastening — as if we can’t go any more retro than that. That’s right, the 90s are now “retro”, but at least they’re not that cringe-worthy anymore. See all the items in the 8-piece collection here:
