PUMA Teams Up with Maison Kitsuné For Their First-Ever Collaboration

From their makeup partnership with shu uemura in 2019 to their 2020 tech collection with Native Union, you could say that the multi-faceted Paris-meets-Tokyo brand Maison Kitsuné is no stranger to teaming up with other like-minded labels to add to their growing catalogue of unique and inspirational pieces.

This time, in the two brands’ first-ever collaboration, Maison Kitsuné has chosen to join forces with the ever-popular sports brand PUMA to launch a full collection that reworks familiar classics into fresh designs that promise a fresh take on the vintage and modern feel, complete with the signature Maison Kitsuné fox logo that can be found alongside the PUMA logo.

Tapping on the core of Maison Kitsuné’s design basics, the collection will merge Japanese and French design elements with PUMA’s classic sports styles to bring you a collection that plays with different colour shades that are more tonal and earthy.

Swapping out the usual blues, reds, and greens, the PUMA x Maison Kitsuné collection will feature darker and more subtle tones such as maroon, khaki, black, and white — which makes it much easier for us to pair the pieces with our own wardrobe essentials. However, there are still pops of yellow to lift the mood of the collection.

Marrying the design basics from both brands allows each piece in the collection to achieve a subtle street chic style. The clean design of the Roma sneakers (pictured above) is one example, with its white leather upper, contrast stitching, tan gum outsole, and iconic puma and fox logos.
