CHANEL ELECTRO J12 — a capsule watch collection with graphic codes borrowed from Electro culture

CHANEL ELECTRO is a capsule collection of four J12 editions that borrow graphic codes based on Electro culture from the 90s. Electronic music reflected the vibrant clubbing scene and moved beyond just music into an entire aesthetic culture; and it’s this artistic genre that is at the heart of the collection. The watches present a stark contrast between black and white, and colour; with  colour lighting up white, and deep black intensifying colour.

J12 X-RAY ELECTRO CALIBER 3.1

The J12 X-RAY is a numbered limited edition of 12 pieces, and is fitted with the Calibre 3.1,  with 12 baguette-cut sapphires marking the hours with different colours. And in place of where the diamonds on the J12 usually sit, we see a spectacular colour spectrum of 58 sapphires.

J12 WHITE ELECTRO DREAM

In the J12 ELECTRO DREAM, the 12 colours are merged in an unbroken circular gradation of sapphires on the bezel; with  12 baguette-cut hour indicators in shades that echo the bezel. This is released in 55 pieces.

J12 BLACK ELECTRO DREAM

This is the black edition that also comes in a limited run of 55 pieces, and features a matte black highly resistant ceramic and steel case.

J12 ELECTRO STAR

The most extravagant of the series, the J12 ELECTRO STAR is adorned throughout with baguette-cut diamonds, with the coloured sapphires braided along the side and length of the watch and strap. When worn, these beautifully encircle the wrist. The Calibre 12.1 is finished in black and also boasts a circular gradation of coloured sapphires.

J12 ELECTRO BOX

This black lacquer box houses a polypitch of twelve J12s. The ensemble represents a rhythm of a 12-beat gradation of colour, and together, the concept is imagined as a “performance”.
