Miu Miu and Levi’s Have Teamed Up For An Upcycled Denim Collection

With sustainable fashion in the spotlight for all the right reasons, here’s the next exciting collaboration that should pique your interest — one with denim brand Levi’s and luxury fashion house Miu Miu.

As part of the Upcycled by Miu Miu collection that Miuccia Prada launched last fall, this year’s sustainable series gives life to vintage denim, now given a touch of Miu Miu with sparkles and pearl embellishments.

This upcoming launch sees 80s and 90s men’s Levi’s 501 jeans and trucker jackets, classics in their own right, transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces with embellishments that include pearls, diamanté studs, crystals and more. And while these are sourced directly from Levi’s archives, you won’t think they’re hand-me-downs or factory defects at all; a trucker jacket now comes with satin puffed sleeves, while a jacket and jeans coord features leather patches across classic denim blue.

“No two pieces in the collection are the same. Reimagined through the Miu Miu lens, the lives of garments worn and loved in the past are extended, refreshed — renewed,” says Miu Miu. All the denim pieces also sport a special collaborative backpatch in light pink, stamped with the logo of both Levi’s and Miu Miu.

The campaign is also fronted by muse-models Lila Moss and Georgia Palmer, as well as actress Emma Corrin, most notable for her recent turn as Princess Diana in The Crown.

The collection will be available in limited quantities of 1,000 pieces distributed worldwide, in three original silhouettes.

The Upcycled by Miu Miu x Levi’s collection will be available online on Miu Miu’s website, select Miu Miu stores from 24 May 2021.
