Those who fondly remember carrying a minimalist, lowkey-cool Eastpak back in your schooling days — this one’s for you. Eastpak and Timberland, both iconic brands who cater to our love for the outdoors, have come together for a second landmark collection that sees new-generation backpacks and sling bags, designed with sustainable materials and made to last. The collection will be available at the Timberland® Zalora store from 25 June.
With a particular desire to protect the environment, the urban yet travel-friendly collection boasts fabrics, webbing, linings, and bindings made from 100% recycled materials. As we’d expect from Eastpak, a brand that originally provided military-grade packs and duffel, and Timberland, who have launched many sustainability initiatives long before they became a trend, the items are made with lasting quality in mind, so we’re meant to use them for as long as they last, which hopefully discourages excessive consumerism.

Other details include signature ones that you might recognise from Timberland’s iconic yellow boot — you’ll notice subtle quad row stitching across the top of the backpacks; suede accents and embossed linings; as well as coated zippers and Timberland shoelace pullers making up the key design elements on the backpacks (24L) and fanny packs (3.5L). Both these are water-resistant, while the backpack comes with a padded laptop sleeve.
In black and olive camo, contrast accents and leather details also make the cut, as does the most obvious indicator of this special collab, an embossed co-branded Eastpak x Timberland logo patch. Functional, and with a little nostalgia thanks to Eastpak’s iconic backpack, this is a collection we can’t wait to carry around.
