All the new launches from Native Union including a MagSafe compatible dock, more USB-C cables and a screen cleaner

One of our favourite tech brands has unleashed a whole new host of peripherals that we didn’t know we needed until now. There are new cables (all reinforced with braided nylon), phone and laptop stands. They’re shown here with Apple products, but they’ll work for other brands and models as well.

RISE LAPTOP STAND

If you use a laptop, chances are you’re bending over to type and see the screen. This stand folds and unfolds like origami and elevates your laptop up to a 20° viewing angle — which ultimately improves your posture and makes using the laptop more comfortable over time. It sticks on to the base of your computer and is ultra-slim at 2.5mm; plus it’s built to last with coated nylon and reinforced fiber glass panels.

CLEAN SCREEN SPRAY

In another one of those “why didn’t I think of that” ideas, here’s a pocket-sized cleaning solution spray that is housed in a pouch that doubles up as a microfibre cloth. Just spray onto your screens (eg. phone, tablet, computer, and even camera) and then wipe with the pouch. The formula is free from alcohol and ammonia and is odourless.

DESK CABLE (USB-C TO USB-C)

This is not your ordinary cable; this is one of the best quality computer cables that money can buy. It’s an 8-foot long, 100W USB-C to USB-C cable with a weighted anchor near one end. This anchor rests nicely on your table and keeps your cable end within easy reach at all times (basically wherever you last left it). The cable itself feels thick and it’s reinforced with nylon braiding; there’s also a built-in LED light that indicates the charging status — very useful.

RISE DOCK

This is a solid metal magnetic charging stand for the iPhone 12 series. It’s just the dock though; it doesn’t come with the MagSafe charger (see below for that). It can fit both Native Union’s own MagSafe Charger, or the original Apple version. The phone can be placed vertically or horizontally, and either way, it holds the iPhone firmly in place. And don’t worry about your iPhone tipping over on the stand; it’s a pretty heavy tool and has a non-slip base.

SNAP MAGNETIC WIRELESS CHARGER

This cable is ideal for the Rise Dock above; it’s designed to fit perfectly into the hole. It can also be used on its own (obviously) and snaps magnetically in place on the iPhone 12 series. It powers up the iPhone with 7.5W, and can fast-charge other Qi-enabled devices at 15W. We love the extra long 10ft tangle-free cable that’s reinforced with nylon braiding and can withstand wear and tear over time. There’s a 2-year limited warranty for this item giving you some peace of mind that you can send it back to get fixed should anything happen (which is unlikely).
