BURGER KING®‘s ever-popular Rendang Burger will be back on the menu — and with way more exciting local-inspired surprises to herald its return, including bubble tea drinks and desserts.
First off though, the fast food brand has announced the introduction of an extra large, extra juicy version of the old favourite, the Double Ultimate Rendang Angus Beef Burger, now with two juicy, tender Angus flame-grilled beef patties topped with their signature Rendang sauce, fresh onions, and strips of crispy turkey bacon in between corn-dusted sourdough buns.
Back in time for National Day, the new Double Ultimate Rendang Angus Beef Burger will debut first on Deliveroo, between 9 to 12 July, before making its way to BURGER KING® stores islandwide from 13 July.
More on the rest of the menu though. On top of this glorious version of the Rendang Burger, they’ll also be introducing a Rendang Shiok Shake Up — essentially, six nuggets with fries topped with more of that delicious Rendang sauce. For a special promotional offer, the first 560 fans who decide to upsize their Double Ultimate Rendang Angus Beef Burger meal ($14.60) on Deliveroo will be able to receive a complimentary Rendang Shiok Shake Up as well.
BURGER KING® will also be bringing back the classic Double Rendang Beef and Rendang Tendergrill® Chicken Burgers (from $7.90 for value meals), which the brand has assured will be a limited edition menu item every National Day season.
As for the host of new drinks and desserts, these take their inspiration from bubble tea and gula melaka. They include: the Gula Melaka BBT Green Tea Float and Gula Melaka BBT Malty Float (both $3.90); Gula Melaka BBT Sundae ($2.60); and the Onde Boleh Pie ($1.80), which comes filled with sweet gula melaka coconut.
