Louis Vuitton celebrates the founder’s 200th birthday with a video game and more!

Louis Vuitton was born on 4th August 1821, and the House celebrates his bicentennial birthday with a series of creative initiatives that highlight his visionary spirit. Starting today, there’s a video game with embedded NFTs called “Louis The Game” that’s available for download through the App Store and Google Play.

The game features Vivienne, the Louis Vuitton mascot, who travels great distances to reach… that’s right, a festive birthday destination. The game was developed by the same team behind Riot Games (League of Legends), and includes NFT elements with the Houses artistic directors and digital artist Beeple.

Other celebratory things to look out for from the brand: store windows showcasing the iconic trunk as a vessel reimagined by 200 contributors; a large-scale triptych of Louis painted by Alex Katz; a fictionalised novel by French writer Caroline Bongrand about the life and intentions of Louis (available in French and English from October); and a documentary on Apple TV, Looking for Louis that retraces the story of the young pioneer.
