Charles & Keith Launches An Eco-Friendly Collection Of Sandals, Heels, Boots, And Bags

Believe it or not, homegrown brand CHARLES & KEITH is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year. Founded in 1996 by Charles Wong and Keith Wong, it’s safe to say that you probably own a pair of their footwear, or know someone who does — we definitely own multiple sandals and heels, as well as their recent It-bag, the Gabine. So to commemorate that significant milestone, the fashion brand has went ahead and launched a limited-edition collection of shoes and bags, which also happen to be made of eco-friendly recycled materials.

Here, you’ll find minimalist flat sandals, classic heels, and chunky boots in a fresh colour palette of black and soft candy pink. Plenty of these incorporate trendy 90s elements, square toes, jelly textures, chunky soles included, while there’s also a series of Sonia padded bags done with utilitarian buckles, chains and thick straps.

The brand also looks to the future by making sure that the capsule collection is made entirely from recycled materials — casual sandals, for instance, are made from upcycled rubber with a speckled confetti design on their translucent soles. Slingback pumps and mules use recycled plastic heels, made to stand out with a sleek marbled pattern, while the bags feature recycled nylon as well.
